What's New for the GMC Canyon Near West, Texas?

You can expect a few changes with the new Canyon, like three new exterior colors: Desert Sand Metallic, Dynamic Blue Metallic, and Solar Flare Metallic. The new colors will replace three other colors from the previous year. Besides the new exterior colors, you will receive a few other updates to the new year's model, such as a shift from the GMC Canyon AT4X off-roader to a trim level with an optional package upgrade.

Performance

The new Canyon receives a TurboMax 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine capable of delivering 310 horsepower and 430-pound-feet of torque. You receive an eight-speed automatic engine with both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive. Whatever engine you choose will feature an automatic stop-start with an eight-speed automatic transmission that continues as the only transmission option.

The four-wheel drive with mud tires will give you 17 miles per gallon for city driving and 20 miles per gallon for highway driving. Rear-wheel drive (RWD), in contrast, will give you 19 miles per gallon for city driving and 23 miles per gallon for highway driving.

Exterior

Besides the new colors, the new Canyon is a carryover model that only receives a mild refresh since the redesign in 2023. You receive distinctive LED signature daytime running headlights and 20-inch Diamond Cut Dark Grey Aluminum Wheels. The Canyon has a bold and sculpted look guaranteed to impress. You would call it the perfect blend of luxury and capability.

Interior

Once you hop inside the cabin, the premium materials greet you with a warm welcome. In the center console, you will see an 11.3-inch touchscreen, which integrates seamlessly with the Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. You also receive a six-speaker audio system.
